Junior League of Greater Covington

The Junior League of Greater Covington (JLGC) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  The JLGC reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origin who demonstrate an interest in and commitent to volunteerism.  Through collaborative programs and effective advocacy, the JLGC will provide educational and cultural opportunities which enrich the lives of the citizens of our community.  The JLGC is involved in many commuity projects, such as the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany, A Career Corner to aid women in the workforce, Girl’s Health Day, Project Prom, Read For the Record and the Southeast Louisiana Hospital Adolescent School.
