CPD To Host Free Children’s Camp – Program to Focus on Safety, Healthy Living & Enjoying Life

Covington Police Department CPD sealChief Tim Lentz announces that the Covington Police Department will be hosting a free camp this summer for Covington area children. The summer camp will focus on challenging children to be safe, live healthy, and enjoy life. Each day will focus on educating the children about different topics in a fun and positive way, such as educational safety, health and fitness, familiarization with local emergency services, along with pet and animal education. The final day of the camp will be a “fun” day, consisting of recreational and water related activities.

Chief Lentz states, “We are constantly striving to connect and become more involved with our community. This camp will be an opportunity for us to connect with children, the future of our community, while educating them on important topics in a fun and exciting way.”

The summer camp will be held July 21st through July 25th, from 8:00AM to 12:00PM each day in downtown Covington. If you live in the Covington area and would like to register your children ages 6-13 for the camp, please contact Sergeant Tammy Blocker at (985)892-8500 or tblocker@covla.com
