Lumen Print Workshop STAA

Lumen Print Workshop Saturday March 21st

This class with instructor Natasha Sanchez will introduce students to the lumen print process, a camera-less technique that dates back to the origins of photography in the 19th century. The class will cover the printing process, composition, paper, fixing, toning, and scanning options. Participants will take home three completed lumen prints.

Saturday March 21st at the St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N Columbia St. 11 am – 3 pm. Cost is $95, includes supplies. Call (985) 892-8650 for more information.

Tintype Workshop Saturday March 28th

Tintype Workshop STAAIn this workshop, David Armentor of St. Veronica’s Photographic Gallery will walk participants through basic techniques of the tintype process. This includes preparing the plate, pouring collodion, exposing, developing, fixing and varnishing as well as chemical mixing and safety. You will leave with a completed tintype. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring their own large format cameras. Saturday March 28th at the St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N Columbia St. 1 – 5 pm. STAA Accepting Submission for Covington Art Markets Now

Covington Art Market March 2015STAA & the City of Covington announce the Spring Season of the Covington Art Market 2015: March 7, April 4 and May 2, held 9 am – 1 pm at the Covington Trailhead.
