Friday Night Music Club Features The Tin Men This Weekend at COPA

On July 10th, the Center Of Performing Arts’ Friday Night Music Club will welcome The Tin Men featuring Alex McMurray, Washboard Chaz, and Jason Jurzak.  The Tin Men are America’s premier sousaphone, washboard and guitar trio. They have been performing at home in New Orleans, around the USA and abroad since 2002.  Their appearance at Friday Night Music Club will be their first gig after returning from the Ascona Jazz Festival in Ascona,  Switzerland.

Auditions Saturday For Two COPA Productions

Saturday July 11th at 11 am, Center of Performing Arts will be holding auditions for ” 5 Lesbians Eating Quiche” This farce is set in 1956 and takes place in a community center hosting the annual Quiche Breakfast of the Susan B Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein.

We are looking for five comedic actresses between the ages of 18 and 45 years old, to play the prim and proper ladies of the Society’s board of directors.

Center Of Performing Arts will also hold auditions for “Moon Over Montivedeo” on Saturday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at 201 N. Columbia St. in Downtown Covington.

Please prepare a short comedic monologue, one ballad and one up tempo song, and be prepared to dance as well!
