Playmakers Opens “One Slight Hitch” This Weekend + Auditions Next Week

playmakersslighthitchPlaymakers Theater announces the first production of it’s 60th season; the comedic farce “One Slight Hitch” by Lewis Black which opens on Sept. 4th, and runs for 3 weekends.

It’s Courtney’s wedding day, and her mom, Delia, is making sure that everything is perfect. Then, like in any good farce, the doorbell rings. And all hell breaks loose. So much for perfect.

The cast needs 2 men and 5 females as follows: EDITH – a maid, RUTH – Charles’ current wife, CHARLES – husband to Ruth and, before her passing, to Elvira,  DR. BRADMAN,  MRS. BRADMAN,  MADAME ARCATI – a medium, & ELVIRA – Charles’ late wife.  Come prepared to read script. The show runs from Nov. 6-22 (except the 8th).  Skeptical novelists Charles Condomine invites self-proclaimed medium Madame Arcati to his home for a séance, hoping to gather material for a new book. When the hapless psychic accidentally summons the spirit of Condomine’s late wife, Elvira, his home and life are quickly turned into a shambles as his wife’s ghost torments both himself and his new bride, Ruth.  www.playmakersinc.com
