Save the Date for STAA’s 51st Annual Summer Show July 9, 2016, 6 – 9 PM

staa summer show 2016The St. Tammany Art Association presents the 51st National Juried Artists Exhibition, The Summer Show.

Opening Reception: July 9 | 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Artists’ awards will be presented at 7:00 p.m.

Exhibition is open from July 9- August 20.

Artists selected for this year’s exhibition come from across the United States. Artists accepted into The Summer Show and in competition for cash prizes are: Cariappa Annaiah, Grace Benedict, Carolyn Biggio, Emily Binder, Stephanie Blumenthal, Carolyn Busenlener, Frances Carville, Jennifer Carwile, Shanna D’Antonio, Michael Eble, Leslie Elliott-Smith, Michael Elliott-Smith, Belinda Flores-Shinshillas, Loveday Funck, John Green, Denise Greenwood Loveless, Charles Gudaitis, Len Heatherly, Brian Huber, Gina Laguna, Tony Lazorko, Jacqueline LeBlanc, Bernard Mattox, Emily Morse, Clark Nunn, Otto Ochs, James Overby, James Chris Phillips, Mike Ramsey, Shaun Roberts, David Shear, Nate Theisen, Robert Warrens, and Francesca Windsor.

Open to artists from all over the United States, the St. Tammany Art Association’s annual juried exhibition features only visual art completed within the past two years. This year, $3,250 in cash awards including the coveted $1,000 Best of Show prize will be presented at the opening.

This year, in lieu of a Gallery Talk, artists’ profiles will be featured on social media throughout the duration of the show, which continues through August 20 with a closing event during Covington White Linen Night, 6 to 9 p.m. All events are free and open to the public and are presented at the STAA Art House, 320 N.
