City of Covington Announces Bogue Falaya Park Public Meeting July 13

The City of Covington is hosting a public meeting to discuss future plans regarding Bogue Falaya Park. This park is used by everyone in the Covington community for events, gatherings and recreation. “Our goal is to protect the beauty of this cherished facility and maximize its use so that residents and visitors can enjoy the park as a cultural and recreational destination for generations to come.” – Mayor Mike Cooper of the City of Covington.

The meeting will be held on July 13, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Covington City Council Chambers, located at 222 E. Kirkland St.  This meeting is informal and an open forum.  Those who attend are encouraged to examine preliminary conceptual designs, speak one-on-one with the engineers and landscape architects working on the project as well as city officials.
The City wants to ensure that the public has a voice in this plan as they are a huge component to the character and ideals of our community.  For additional information, contact Kelli Moore or visit covla.com.  Email:  kmoore@covla.com PH:  (985) 898-4717
