Covington Backs The Blue Wednesday Evening At Bogue Falaya Park

The public is invited to join in Wednesday evening, July 20, 2016, at Bogue Falaya Park, from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., for a Blue Light Ceremony honoring and remembering the fallen officers of Baton Rouge.  It is a time for the community to gather and show support, worship, pray, and offer a moment of silence.

Wear blue and receive a candle for the candlelight moment!

Orders will be taken for “Covington BACKS the BLUE” T-Shirts for $20 with proceeds going to the families of the fallen officers in Baton Rouge.

Mayor Mike Cooper of Covington, Chief Tim Lentz of Covington Police Department, Sheriff Randy Smith of St. Tammany Sheriff’s Department, Chief Badon of Covington Fire Department, City Councilmen Rick Smith and Larry Rolling, and Pastor Tony Lagamba from Church of the King will be in attendance.
