CPD Announces Holiday Ride Home Program

CPD Announces Holiday Ride Home Program

Following last year’s success, Chief Tim Lentz announces that the Covington Police Department will again offer a ride-home program this holiday season.  Patrons of our local businesses that do not have a safe and sober ride can call the Covington Police Department and have an officer bring them home.
“Last holiday season we offered rides home for anyone in Covington that needed a sober driver and several people took us up on that offer.  Our top priority is always public safety so we will give the same offer this year and hope that everyone can safely enjoy the holidays,” Chief Lentz said.  This program is being offered free of charge to anyone needing a ride home, within a reasonable distance, from businesses inside the city limits during the holiday season. To get a ride home, please call the Covington Police Department at (985) 892-8500 and an officer will be sent to your location.  The Covington Police Department is located at 609 N. Columbia Street.
Emergency:  9-1-1  Non-emergencies:  985-892-8500
