CPD Chief Lentz Announces New Graduates

The Covington Police Department announces four new recruits who received their state certification as police officers at Class #54 POST Graduation.  Chief Lentz posted the following statement on social media:
“What an amazing night.  We are proud to announce the graduation of four new recruits out of the Police Academy. Myself, Mayor Cooper and Dy Chief Arrowood attended the Class #54 POST Graduation where Laura Aucoin, Ben Cato, Nicholas Greaver and George Turgeau received their State certifications as police officers.
After four months of training, Covington Police Officers excelled in their training receiving the following awards:
Physical Fitness: 3rd place Nicholas Greaver
Firearms: 3rd Place Nicholas Greaver,2nd Place Ben Cato
Academics: 3rd Place Ben Cato,2nd Place Nichols Greaver
Final Exam: 2nd place Ben Cato, 1st place George Turgeau
