The St. Tammany Art Association’s Annual Fall For Art is only two weeks away! Covington Weekly offers an artist profile for one of this year’s featured artists, Louisiana native Bridget Hatty.
Bridget Hatty is a local artist specializing in acrylic painting. Her Southern pride is evident in her work, as she’s drawn to Louisiana subjects and themes. From historic French Quarter architecture to famous jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis, Bridget captures the true and unique spirit on canvas, antique windows, wood, metal, and slate. This coupled with her bold impressionistic style when painting creates one-of-a-kind works of art fit for galleries, businesses, and homes.
Bridget’s work is currently on display at three locations in Covington:
Annadele’s Plantation (on Chestnut St), Salon Calais (on N Highway 190) & Cottage Antiques (on Lee Lane). Be sure to stop by downtown Covington’s “Fall for Art” art show in October where Bridget will be one of the featured artists!
