From a partridge in a pear tree to twelve drummers drumming, downtown Covington is aglow with holiday images this month as the City launches its inaugural lighted display, Covington’s Twelve Days of Christmas.
Christmas festivities are interrupted when a stranger, the eager Gareth, arrives at court hoping to prove himself to the King. His opportunity arrives the following Christmas, when the Lady Lynette begs King Arthur to help her rescue her sister Lisette from the dastardly Red Knight.
The RPC will be accepting public comments on the plans through January 2, 2019. The plans will also be presented at a public meeting held December 19, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at 10 Veterans Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
