2018 LPBF Beach Sweep Clean-Up

Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation will hold its 28th annual Beach Sweep, a day designated to clean up around the Lake Pontchartrain Basin, on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and it will be followed by a picnic for our registered volunteers at the New Canal Lighthouse as a thank you for helping to keep our basin clean!

LPBF’s Beach Sweep is held in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup sponsored by Ocean Conservancy. Volunteers, partners, and sponsors help care for the areas that drain the Pontchartrain Basin by cleaning curbs, ditches, and storm drains on city streets and rural roadways. Designated areas for cleanup around the lake include Orleans, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Tammany, and East Baton Rouge parishes.
