Tickets are on sale now for Christ Episcopal School’s (CES) production of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, the haunting classic drama based on historical people and true events surrounding the Salem Witch Trials in 1692.
The Crucible opens the day after Halloween, allowing audiences to extend the bewitching season for a few more days. The classic play will be staged Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 1-3, at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m., in the Center of Inquiry theater on the CES campus, 80 Christwood Boulevard in Covington.
Directed by Dr. Anne-Liese Juge Fox, the story unleashes the destructive power of greed, resentment, and jealousy in Salem Village that leaves 19 people dead in its wake. Written as a parable about McCarthyism in his time, this electrifying drama stands as one of the most-produced American plays on professional and high school stages for more than 65 years.
Cast members in the CES production include Reece Loustalot, Emma Pollet, Becca Preston, McKenna Fussel, Olivia Fried, Patrick McQuaid, Andrew Kerr, Ben Sterling, Meghanne Wilie, Isabella Post, Reese Richards, Aiyana Thomas, Paige Gardner, Hailey Wendelstedt, Gabrielle Uson, Destiny Dane, Martha Rigney, Cerin Satik, Georgie Rigney, Gregory Gilmore, Rod Chandler and Wyatt Saucier.
Tickets are $8 for students, $12 for general admission available online at cesdrama.ticketleap.com.
