British Invasion at the Art House
Do you love the pop and rock groups like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Dave Clark Five, Herman’s Hermits, and the Animals?
Join the St. Tammany Art Association on Sunday March 3, 2019 at the Art House for a discussion about how these British rockers influenced American culture. Their impact on popular music internationalized the production of rock and roll, establishing the British popular music industry as a viable center of musical creativity throughout the 60’s. Hear a special performance of “When I’m Sixty Four” by members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra; snacks provided by the English Tea Room.
