This Weekend in Downtown Covington

St. John’s Coffeehouse and Rabadash Recording Studio Present Friday Night Open Mic beginning June 7, 2019. The Open Mic begins at 7, featuring a new host every week; host performs a 45 minute set, then open mic continues until close. The June line-up includes June 7 with Dirk Billie and Glen Sigur, June 14 with Timothy Gates, June 21 with Patrick Brooks, and June 28 with Cassie Krebs.

St. John’s Coffeehouse features the music of Cashmere Quartet every second Sunday through August, beginning Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. all shows. If you haven’t heard Cashmere Quartet, here is your chance to experience chamber music with a twist. St. John’s Coffeehouse is located at 535 E. Boston St.

Bluesberry Festival Saturday

Bluesberry Festival 2019 takes place this Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. At the Bogue Falaya Wayside Park (located 213 Park Drive in Covington.)

General admission is $25 at the gate, children aged 10 and under are free. The festival will take place rain or shine, tickets are non-refundable.
Hard ice chests, outside food & drinks, tents, pets, weapons and bikes are Prohibited Items. Parking is free and available throughout downtown Covington and at the nearby St. Tammany Parish Justice Center. The Gulf Coast Bank Trolley will shuttle patrons from the Justice Center parking areas (701 N. Columbia Street) to Bogue Falaya Park throughout the day.

2019 Tour De Louisiane Sunday

This Sunday is the 2019 Tour De Louisiane Bike Race! This event is taking place on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Historic Downtown Covington from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Come out and watch the race, spectators are encouraged and welcomed. A dog parade benefitting the Northshore Humane Society begins at 11:45 a.m.
