Sparks in the Park, Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mark your calendars for the City of Covington’s 6th Annual Sparks in the park on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. This wonderful family event will celebrate America’s Day of Independence and will begin at 6:30 p.m. In Bogue Falaya Park, 213 Park Drive in Covington.
Attendees will enjoy patriotic music followed by an exciting fireworks display beginning at dusk (approx. 8:45 p.m.) presented by the New Orleans Advocate | the St. Tammany Farmer and the City of Covington.
“The show will be a fun, family event for the whole community. It’s a wonderful time to get your family together to enjoy Covington and our ‘Sparks’ fireworks celebration,” says Zac Cuny, Cultural Arts and Events Coordinator for the City of Covington.
The City of Covington is continuing the 2nd Annual “Hot Dog Eating Challenge” at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Covington Business Association. Spaces are limited for this event. To register, email email@example.com.
Free for kids are face painting and balloon twisting, and concessions will be available for purchase from the Kiwanis and Boy Scout Troop 160. Attendees are welcomed to bring their own chairs and picnic. This event is free and open to the public.
