It’s Second Saturday Art Walk in Downtown Covington this Saturday evening, a great night to stroll downtown and check out some of the local fare, including bar & grills, family restaurants, upscale and nightlife. Some of the choices include New Orleans Food & Spirits, Coffee Rani, St. John’s Coffeehouse, Buster’s Place, Vazquez Restaurant, Del Porto Ristorante, The Ox Lot, Columbia Street Rock N Blues Cafe, The Tap Room and Seiler Bar.
Galleries in downtown Covington include the St. Tammany Art Association, Tripolo, Rolland Golden, Saladino and Armbruster. The Southern Hotel is a jewel of downtown, fully restored and filled with local fine art. After hours, Dr. Green and the Funk Machine take the stage at the Green Room, with opening act Timothy A.G. Columbia Street Rock N Blues Cafe hosts Killahouse.
