Carnival in Covington Does Halloween

Halloween Night is the final night of Covington’s “Rockin the Rails” Thursday concert series and the Covington Lions Club and Carnival in Covington are pulling out all the stops. Delicious catfish and/or shrimp dinners will be served as a fund-raiser for the city’s Mardi Gras Parade, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020. (FYI: You, your business, your employees can be part of this grand parade – see link to our website below.)
But it gets better – A celebrity-judged costume contest with the grand prize of two spots on a traditional mardi gras float on Carnival Day, 2020. That’s right – the winner of the contest gets two FREE spots on one of our wonderful floats. Who are the celebrity judges you ask? None other than Covington’s esteemed mayor, Mark Johnson, and a fun duo from the Super Saints – “Soul Saint” and “Mack the Quack, the Who Dat Clown.”

Abita Roasting Company is preparing the succulent seafood dinner, made possible by the generosity of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, and the support of the City of Covington and the City of Covington – Office of Cultural Arts & Events.
The sassy music will be provided by the band Lost in the 60s. All proceeds go toward the Covington Parade.
Covington’s Trailhead is located at 419 New Hampshire St. Covington, 70433. The event starts at 5:30 pm. All ages welcome. Website: carnivalincovington.com
