This Week In Covington

The last Rockin’ the Rails concert of October 2019 will take place this Thursday, Halloween Night!  Featuring a Costume Contest with a Grand Prize of 2 Free spots on a traditional Mardi Gras Float on Carnival Day 2020.  The Covington Trailhead will be rockin’ to Lost In The 60’s from 5 – 7:30 p.m.

Carnival in Covington and the Covington Lion’s Club will serve fried catfish and shrimp dinners to raise money for the City of Covington’s Mardi Gras Parade.

St. John’s Coffeehouse features an Open Mic every Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m.  This week’s host is Timothy Gates, with a short set, then open mic.  Come on out, bring your instrument and your songs and make some music.  St. John’s Coffeehouse is the spot for fresh brewed coffees, light sandwiches and snacks, sweet treats and a limited selection of libations.  Friday Night Open Mic is presented by Rabadash Studios and St. John’s Coffeehouse. The Covington Farmer’s Market takes place twice a week, Wednesdays at the Covington Trailhead from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. And Saturdays at the 600 Block of Columbia St. (Covington Police Dept.) from 8 a.m. To Noon.  Both markets feature prepared foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, plants and more.  Live music.

Marsolan’s Old Feed Store Music Series continues this week with the Necessary Gentlemen from noon – 1 p.m.  Jam session from 1 – 2 p.m.  Marsolan’s is located at 314 East Gibson Street.
