The City of Covington and merchants of Lee Lane present Christmas in the Country, an annual event happening Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, and every Saturday until Christmas.

Shops throughout downtown Covington offer special shopping events, refreshments and door prizes. Discovering everything from couture fashions to original fine art, home furnishings, and antique treasures in dozens of boutiques and galleries, as well entertainment in Covington’s historic St. John District throughout the month (see separate events on our calendar).
Then, take a break at luxurious spas and salons, getting an on-the-go fresh lunch, or staying for an evening of fine dining at the city’s award-winning restaurants and entertainment at nightclubs in and around the downtown area.
Weekly, most shops are open 9am-5pm Monday through Saturday, some on Sundays, and many restaurants are open every day. Parking is free throughout the walkable district, on the street and in public parking “oxlots.”
