The Covington Concert Band’s inaugural performance is Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Covington. This is a free concert featuring safe seating. Dr. Marc Pittman will emcee “A Night at the Movies” with Erik Morales as musical director and featuring Dr. Juliia Akers on violin.
On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the Covington Concert Band will perform “A Night at the Movies” outdoors at Reverend Peter Atkins Park, located at 701 North Tyler Street. The performance will take place at 3 p.m., concertgoers are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs. Featuring Musical Director Erik Morales with Emcee and “voice of the band” Dr. Marcus Pittman.
