The Chapel of Christ Episcopal Church was built in late 1846 by Jonathan Arthur of London. He designed the church along the lines of the Georgian churches found in England and the colonies.
In connection with the church’s sesquicentennial celebration, the entire interior and most of the exterior of the chapel were restored. A second similar chapel was built across the road. The chapel is on the National Trust’s Register of Historic Places as the oldest building in continuous use in Covington.
