There will be a complete road closure on LA 36, approximately 0.9 miles from the LA 21/LA 36 junction (110 feet West of Opelousas St.) Beginning on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 8 AM through Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 5 PM, weather permitting. This closure is for DOTD to replace a cross drain.
This portion of LA 36 will be completely closed, and emergency vehicles and any other vehicles will not have access and will need to take an alternate route.
Detour Motorists heading east on LA 36 should detour onto LA 21 north to LA 59 (Range Line Rd), continue south on LA 59 back to LA 36. Motorists heading west on LA 36 should detour onto LA 59 (Range Line Rd), continue North on LA 59 to LA 21.
