May is the last STAA Covington Art Market of the Spring Season. Brought to you by the City of Covington and the St. Tammany Art Association, the market showcases juried work by local and regional artists ranging from oil painting to wood work and everything in between. The Covington Art Market takes place at the Trailhead (419 N. New Hampshire St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food is available from Beck N Call Cafe, coffee, water and sodas are also available for purchase. Enjoy live music by Patrick Brooks and Timothy Gates, plus a table for children’s activities. The Art Markets will resume in the Fall, running October through December.
The Covington Brewhouse is right across the street from the Trailhead on the North side, featuring Free Tours at 11:30 a.m. And 12:30 p.m. Baba Ganoush serves Gyros and Chicken Schwarma at the brewhouse during the day.
The Covington Farmer’s Market also takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. To noon at the 600 block of Columbia Street (Covington Police Department). You’ll find local produce, prepared foods, meats, plants and much more.
