Playmakers invites you to honor and celebrate the life of the late Russell Krogsgard on March 22 at the Playmakers Theater, 8pm. Russell worked with Playmakers for decades, both on and off stage, with a final and touching performance as Gus in “Cats”. He was an actor, pilot and architect, and an overall wise man. The Celebration will include performances of Russell’s original scores as well as some of his favorite classics. This event is free and open to the public. A collection of donations will be taken for Mrs. Krogsgard to help with final expenses.
Due to this event, Playmakers’ current show “Lend Me A Tenor” will not run on the 22nd. A show will be held on Thursday the 21st instead, starting at 8 pm. Ken Ludwig’s “Lend Me a Tenor” is a fast-paced farce of mixed identities leading to general chaos. A story of young love and a very drunk tenor who’s wife is a very jealous woman. This production is directed by Playmakers’ own Kay Files. The last show will be this Sunday, the 24th. Auditions for their next play, “Jekyll & Hyde”, will be at the theater March 30th and May 1st.
