The US Army Corps of Engineers and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality have reopened their public comment period on the permit application by Helis Oil & Gas for hydraulic fracturing near Mandeville. Both agencies are now taking comments until mid-night June 16th, 2014, under pressure of the Concerned Citizens of St. Tammany’s legal team.
