Keep Covington Beautiful (KCB) announces they have received a 2020 Clean-up Supply Grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful. The purpose of the grant is to promote community clean-ups by providing the tools needed. KCB will receive gloves, litter grabbers, bags, safety vests and “Love the Boot” t-shirts. This will allow KCB to loan supplies to neighborhood groups and other organizations for their clean-up events.
KCB is also rebooting the ‘Adopt-an-Oxlot’ project, an initiative to encourage the offices and businesses surrounding the downtown historic ox lots to help keep them clean.
The annual Bogue Falaya River Sweep is currently scheduled for September 26, 2020. All clean-ups will be held in compliance COVID 19 guidelines at the scheduled time of the event. Neighborhood clean-ups should be limited to small areas and small groups of volunteers.
Contact KCB at email@example.com to learn more about holding a clean-up in your neighborhood. The grant period is from July 2020 through April 2021.
