Downtown Covington comes to life on April 12th from 6 – 9 pm for the St. Tammany Art Association’s Spring for Art 2014! New work by dozens of artists from around the Southeast Region are showcased. The free event includes live music at various outdoor and indoor locations, gallery openings, art demonstrations, outdoor movie screening, first-rate boutique shopping, and fine dining throughout Downtown Covington.
Live music Saturday evening includes Jaguar, Timothy Achan Gates, Mandeville Junior High Jazz Band, Percussion Worlds, Sharon Scheck & Rebel Yell and Big Fun Brass Band. The music will be along Columbia Street and Lee Lane, pick up a brochure for locations. To help the crowds move from one end of the map to another, the City of Covington is providing a tram to make traveling easier. Get your brochure at the Art Association or any participating location.
