The “Eat Local Challenge” encourages communities to eat only foods grown, caught or raised within a 200 mile radius of your home for the entire month of June. Some local businesses participating are Wino’s and Tacos, Covington Brewhouse and Pontchartrain Vineyards.
Some local farms include Slice of Heaven Farm, Bartlett Farm, Farmhouse Dairy, Stoney Point Farm, Grow.Farm, Heath Hill Farm, Justin Pitts Farm, & Screaming Oaks Mushroom Farm – James Shoop. Have your pets join the fun by buying their food from Tiger Bait Raw Foods for Pets, who sources their meats locally.
