After careful consideration, and despite the urging and support of citizens and leaders to run for the at-large council seat, Larry Rolling, City of Covington District D councilman, has decided to wait until 2019 to run for an at-large council seat. Rolling was approached to run in March for the at-large council seat formerly held by the late Lee Alexius.
“I made a pledge to the people of my district and at this time I am compelled to continue as District D’s councilman until 2019,” stated Rolling. Not only does Rolling reside in District D, but his business is also in the District he serves.
Rolling is District D representative on the Covington City Council since 2011. He also serves as the economic development committee chairman for the council and was instrumental in initiating the Covington Business Resource Workshop series.
“I am humbled by the interest and encouragement of my fellow citizens and local leaders to run for the at-large seat,” said Rolling. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve the entire city as an at-large council member in 2019.”
