On Lundi Gras (that’s Monday), Columbia Street Rock N Blues Cafe presents The Grahawk Band and the Washitaw Nation Mardi Gras Indians for The Rampart Revival Show. Featuring Music, Dancing, Drinks, Food and Costume Contest, show begins at 7 p.m. with a $10 cover.
Krewe of Covington Lions Club Parade rolls through downtown Covington Mardi Gras Day at 10:00 a.m., following the same route as the Krewe of Olympia – see route here. The Covington Lions Club has brought the celebration of Mardi Gras to downtown Covington since 1959.
Mystic Krewe of Covington follows the Lions Club Parade. Founded in 1951 by the Knights of Columbus, this krewe was once called the “Krewe of KaaCee.” Have a very safe and happy Mardi Gras from Covington Weekly! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
