School is out, summer is almost here, and the St. Tammany Parish Library has children’s events lined up throughout the summer break. Every Tuesday starting May 28th will feature “Summer Reading: Special Guests”. This event is for children ages 5-11 from 1:30 to 2:20 pm. A second presentation will begin at 3:00 pm and end at 3:50 pm. Wednesday’s starting May 29th is Storytime. This event features books, stories, rhymes and activities for young children ages 2-5 and their grownups, at 10:30 to 11:00 am. Every Thursday is a teen event with the Teen Summer Reading Program “Beneath the Surface”. Monday’s starting June 3rd will be Summer Reading: Story Craft for Ages 5 & Up from 10:30 to 11:30 am. This event features stories, books, poetry, songs and a theme along with a craft. Check their website for more info and other fun events!
