History Antiques on Columbia Street has a unique Katrina rescue story.  The two paintings above are oil on canvas, painted by Marie Therese de Jaham (1869 – 1916), a student of George Coulon.  They were damaged during Katrina, then found their way to Covington, where they were restored by the specialists at Mo’s Art Supply.  The paintings are currently on the wall at History Antiques, looking for a good home.  They are both very well-behaved and require little to no maintenance.
