Identity Sought in Robbery of Local Walgreens On Sunday

Identity Sought in Robbery of Local Walgreens CPD1 Chief Tim Lentz announces that the Covington Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect of a simple robbery at a local Walgreens (1203 US Hwy 190 Business). On Sunday, June 29th at approximately 2:15AM, a suspect described as a white male approximately 5’8” tall with brown hair and a brown beard wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans entered the store. The suspect pretended to purchase a pack of gum and when the cashier opened the register, the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Investigators were able to obtain surveillance photographs of the suspect and are actively investigating the incident. Callers can remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward up to $2500.
