Tulane Contemporary Glass opens at the St. Tammany Art Association. View works from professors, graduate students and former students of the glass art program at Tulane which has inspired and shaped the New Orleans glass art movement. Opening Reception is Saturday, February 13 from 6 p.m. To 9 p.m.
The St. Tammany Art Association’s February exhibit, Tulane Contemporary Glass, will spotlight the energy and influence behind the Tulane/ Newcomb College Glass Art program and it’s director, Gene Koss. The exhibit features Gene Koss, Dan Alley, Christopher Gray, Weston Lambert, Andrew Ledford, Dakota Moe, Devon Murphy, Francine Judd Stock and Lisa Tahir.
The exhibit, sponsored by Dependable Glass Works and Champagne Beverages, will be on display February 13 through April 2, 2016 in the Mirriam Barranger Gallery of the St. Tammany Art Association with an opening reception, sponsored by Isabella’s Pizzeria, held on Saturday in coordination with the Second Saturday Art Walk in downtown Covington. On Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2 p.m., Gene Koss will give a gallery talk on glass, his work and the glass program at Tulane University in New Orleans.
The St. Tammany Art Association is located at 320 N. Columbia Street in Covington. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. To 4 p.m. And Saturdays from 11 a.m. To 4 p.m. All exhibitions are free and open to the public unless otherwise indicated. sttammanyartassociation.org
