Covington Behavioral Health and Northshore Families Helping Families present “Autism Spectrum Disorder Information & Social Session” with speaker Lisa Donze Jacob, LCSW. This free session will cover helpful tips and information on raising a child or young adult on the autism spectrum. Parents/ Caregivers of individuals with autism and adults with autism are invited to attend. Event takes place Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6 p.m. To 8 p.m. in Covington Behavioral Health, located at 201 Greenbriar Blvd. Refreshments will be provided. The City of Covington is excited to announce Candlelight Caroling at the Covington Trailhead (419 N. New Hampshire Street). This holiday event takes place on December 14, 2017, beginning at 7:00 pm.
After The Crispin Schroeder band dazzles the crowd with favorite holiday tunes, The Northlake Performing Arts Society brings the carols. Jazz vocalist with The LAPA Jamie Planchard performs next, then Maddi Tripp will delight the crowd with “Have Yourself a Merry little Christmas”. The magical night ends with the crowd singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.
Refreshments and Libations will be available for purchase from Beck and Call, The English Tea Room, The Kiwanis and the Covington Business Association. Cookbooks will be for sale from the Junior League of Greater Covington. The public is encouraged to bring their chairs.
The Beautiful Christmas Tree was generously donated by the New Orleans Advocate and The St. Tammany Farmer. The Poinsettias decorating the Covington Trailhead are a gift from Hancock Whitney Bank.
