InterAct NOLA, a theater group of actors with intellectual disabilities, will perform an original musical, “The Nutria Blues,” a satirical production loosely based on “The Pied Piper of Hamelin.”
The show will be presented Sept. 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Greater Covington Center’s Fuhrman Auditorium. InterAct NOLA is now in its third year and was formed by Arc of Greater New Orleans.
While the 16th century story focuses on the Pied Piper, children and rats, InterAct’s version hits closer to home as the city of New Orleans is overtaken by nutria, only to be saved by a soulful street musician.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door or by calling Valerie St. Amant at (504) 897-0134.
