The City of Covington is pleased to announce its twelfth Rockin’ the Rails FREE Spring concert series at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire Street. The concerts will take place every Thursday in April from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The City encourages those who work, live or are passing through Covington to stop by the Trailhead at the end of the work day to listen to great music and have some refreshments, all available through local non-profits. “Please remember to purchase your beverages at the concert, as this supports our sponsor, Champagne Beverage, so that we can continue to offer these great events to the public free of charge,” says Cultural Arts & Events Manager Aimee Faucheux. “We also encourage attendees to top off the evening by dining at one of downtown Covington’s fabulous restaurants after the concert.” Attendees may bring picnic blankets and chairs to the concert, as seating is limited.
Rockin’ the Rails is presented by the City of Covington Office of Cultural Arts & Events and is sponsored by Champagne Beverage & Covington Brewhouse.
This month also marks the beginning of the Sunset at the Landing free outdoor music series and the Last Friday Block Parties, both running March through October, on the third Friday and last Friday of the month respectively. Sunset at the Landing begins this year on the first day of spring, March 20th and features the Danny Barker Tribute Banjo Quartet, opening with Jerry Hess from 6 – 9 pm at the Columbia Street Landing. www.covla.com
